We set up camp in the woods early in the morning and left at night. People came to visit us twice. Groups of people walking through the tunnel of branches, spotting my figure from a distance and approaching slowly whilst listening to the voice of a child reading out book titles. It’s very hot outside, as you can tell, but it’s lovely down here under these big trees. Twice, the atmosphere grew still as everyone listened attentively and generously. I feel at home here, surrounded by the images we create together. When the sounds of birds recorded by Fiorenza in the mountains came through the speakers, the crows went wild: they started cawing all at once around us, above our heads, amongst the bushes. A collective outburst that only subsided when the birdsong gave way to electronic sounds. I’d like to stay here a little longer, waiting for more people and listening to other animals.
